You Are Not Alone!

"It's amazing how much easier it is to get things done when we are following the guideposts you've set out for us - it's like having a clearly marked trail through the woods. I want you to know how much I appreciate all the hard work and thought you put into this for us. It is already moving us forwards as an organization in truly substantive ways."
Michelle Solomon, Board Chair for Loop it Up! Savannah

I want to be your Facilitation Ally
Strategic Planning Facilitation: Without a plan it is hard to get traction and make progress and, often times, that is where a good organization can stagnate and feel like they are simply treading water. A good strategic plan is not in a drawer somewhere waiting to be re-written in 2, 4, or 5 years. A good strategic plan is coffee stained and highlighted and used. It includes action goals and strategies on a timeline for accountability to make real progress to make the work you do more impactful and sustainable.

So where should you start? I have created an assessment process that points your organization in the right direction and that assessment then shepherds the rest of the process. This technique is based around best practices and assesses areas such as governance, strategic direction, leadership, communication, legal accountability, financial management, fundraising and operations. Your team will then be guided to create a road map of where your organization can go in the next 12-36 months. The crescendo of this process is a 1-2 day retreat with key staff and your Board of Directors to finalize details and spring-board your organization to the next phases of your mission and vision.

Team Building Facilitation: How solid is your team? Whether you need to strengthen your staff relationships, volunteer relationships, or board relationships team building should be a part of your plan. This could include relationships across those groups or in isolation.

Plan a day (or two) to focus on goals we will have strategically worked together on to pre-determine the most productive agenda. Your team will come out with a clear focus and an energized sense of team work and purpose.

Mission/Vision Development Facilitation: Has your mission or vision changed over the years? Does it need to evolve? Maybe you need to create or rewrite these key components in defining the hard work your organization is doing (or wants to do). This 1/2-1 day training clears away the clutter to redefine and zero in on your purpose.

I want to be your Mentoring Ally
Creative Leadership Professional Development: With nearly thirty years of experience wearing nearly all administrative/managerial hats for a non-profit (Executive Director, Director of Development, Volunteer Director, etc) I have creatively had to troubleshoot and learn hard lessons on the job. This has led me to create a leadership curriculum as a mentoring guide to teach you the written and unwritten lessons for strong non profit management. This is centered around "things I wish I would have known" and can save you time, headaches, and donor dollars. When your organization needs an empathetic and well-seasoned leadership coach, I can provide one-to-one and small group mentoring and professional development. Topics can be personalized and can cover staff management, fundraising, board development, board management and non-profit management 101 for new ED's and Board Chairs.

This is open to Executive Directors and Board Leadership. This would be most helpful for new ED's and new Board Chairs/Executive Committee Members or seasoned ED's/Board Leadership who want to refresh their skills and uncover innovation to make their work more productive and fulfilling.
